This Privacy Policy describes how Pudding (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our assessment and hiring platform (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our assessment and hiring workflows, we collect:

  • Account Information: Names, emails, billing details, and authentication credentials.
  • Concert & Assessment Instructions: We collect all content created by Hirers to define assessments, including Deliverable Guidelines, prompts, instructions, grading criteria, and any supporting files or context provided to Candidates.
  • Candidate Submissions: Content uploaded during “Concerts” and “Engagements,” including “Deliverables” (work product), code, files, and feedback.
  • Financial & Compensation Records: We collect and retain all compensation-related data, transaction histories, and payout records processed through Stripe, including amounts paid to Candidates and fees paid by Organizations.
  • Usage Data: Logs, device information, telemetry, and interaction history.

2. How We Share Information (Third-Party Vendors)

To operate the Service, we share your data (including personal information, account data, financial records, and Deliverables) with the following third-party vendors and service providers. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to unlimited data sharing with these providers to the extent necessary to facilitate the Service’s functionality, storage, and processing:

  • Infrastructure & Hosting: Google Cloud (and included Google services), Cloudflare.
  • Analytics & Monitoring: Logrocket, Intercom.
  • Payments & Financials: Stripe.
  • Code & File Management: Github, Bitbucket, Dropbox, Figma, Google Docs (and related services).
  • Communication: Sendgrid.
  • AI & Processing: OpenAI.
  • Hiring Integrations: Any Applicant Tracking System (ATS) integrated by the Organization, including but not limited to Greenhouse, Lever, and Workable.

3. Sharing with Other Users

  • Anonymity: During active assessments, Pudding enforces anonymity. We do not share Candidate identities with Hirers until the specific conditions outlined in our Terms of Service are met.
  • De-Anonymization: Once an Engagement is complete, we may disclose Candidate identities and contact information to the specific Hirer who requested the assessment.

4. User Content Restrictions

You are strictly prohibited from uploading, sharing, or submitting any data, code, or content that you did not create yourself or for which you do not hold the necessary rights.

  • No Third-Party Private Data: You may not use the Service to host, process, or share private data belonging to third parties.
  • Public Sharing: You are prohibited from making Deliverables or assessment materials public unless expressly authorized by the Service workflow.

5. Data Location

The Service is operated in the United States. We do not offer data localization. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S..

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
